Privacy Policy

CMJPG is a privately operated home-lab and technology site. This policy describes how information is handled, particularly by the personal Google Calendar integration used with a private MagicMirror dashboard.

Google Calendar access

With the account holder's authorization, CMJPG may use Google OAuth to obtain read-only access to Google Calendar data. Access is used solely to retrieve authorized calendar information and display relevant events on a private MagicMirror dashboard.

Data accessed and use

The integration may access calendar names, event titles, dates, times, and other event details necessary to display the calendar. When configured for read-only access, it does not request permission to create, modify, or delete Google Calendar events.

Storage

OAuth credentials and authorization tokens required to maintain the integration may be stored on the privately operated server hosting the application. Calendar data may be processed or temporarily cached as necessary to operate the display.

Sharing and sale

Google user data obtained through this integration is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for advertising. Data is used for the personal functionality described here, except where disclosure may be required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Revoking access

The Google account holder can revoke the application's access through Google Account security settings. Revocation prevents the application from obtaining new Calendar data using that authorization.

Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect privately operated systems and stored authorization credentials. No Internet-connected system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the service or its integrations change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
